My name is Michelle Blakeney and welcome to Dose of Honey! I am a 26 year old mama to my sweet girl Honey Jane. I graduated in 2019 with my Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi. When I am not checking prescriptions, you can find me at a sno-ball stand ordering a wedding cake flavored sno-ball with extra cream.
Just so y’all can get to know me better, here is a little about me:
- I have an extreme sweet tooth. Give a girl some M&M’s or a cannoli and we’ll be besties.
- Speaking of sweets, you can probably find me in the kitchen baking & decorating desserts.
- Self-proclaimed Nap Queen. Where my sleepy gals at?!
- I’m a shorty standing tall at *almost* 5’1″
- You can find me in Gulfport, Mississippi where the water is dirty but the seafood is excellent.
Dose of Honey was inspired out of a need to express my creative side and hopefully spread some happiness to its readers. I always thought growing up I was going to be a broadcast journalist, land an awesome job at Good Morning America, and live happily ever after. Those dreams came to an abrupt halt after I had Honey Jane at the young age of 16. I then had this great crazy idea my senior year of high school to pursue a 7-year Pharmacy School program and become a Doctor instead. Even though I have graduated, there is still a lot I am trying to figure out in life. Even in this season of uncertainty, I am so grateful for the love and support of my wonderful family and friends, and of course, the motivation I get from my Honey Jane.
So because I love all things colorful and random, that is exactly what this blog is going to be—colorful and random. I hope you have as much fun exploring the site as I have creating it!
